THE ORIGIN STORY
Hi! We're Lina and Meredith. We met at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in northern Italy, where we connected over a shared fascination with food — its origins, its culture, and the role it plays in everyday life.
Our friendship grew over long, slow meals with classmates and an education shaped by the Slow Food Movement, which was born from the principles that food should be “good, clean, fair.”

Living in a small Italian town, we started thinking about friends back home, recent grads in big cities, who would tell us they felt disconnected from cooking and food knowledge while juggling work, new routines, and early adult life.

Meanwhile, we were sharing meals almost every day, learning to see food as both grounding and communal. That contrast planted the seed for our mission: to build a food platform for our generation, one that makes cooking and food knowledge feel accessible, relevant, and genuinely fun again.
